Wide Aisle Pallet Racking
Wide Aisle adjustable pallet racking is the most widely used system for storing palletised unit loads. Upright frames and horizontal beams interlock to form the rack structure. Within the rack each pallet is supported and accessible. Pallet racking arranged in a wide aisle pattern, requires no specialised handling equipment. Arranged this way it gives high quality storage but may only utilise 40% of the floor space. However, fast throughput and ease of loading and unloading make this type of storage extremely popular.

Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking
Narrow Aisle racking systems have aisles around 1.8 metres wide. This frees up to 45% of the floor space given over to aisles in a wide aisle scheme. The net result is a dramatic increase in space utilisation. Each pallet is supported which means that stock rotation and accessibility are as good as a wide aisle system.

Drive-in / Drive-through Pallet Racking
Eliminating aisles produces a high storage density at the expense of selectivity. The first pallet into a lane will be the last out. (unless a service aisle is located at each end of the installation) However, if pallets are received and despatched in batches, or the product is not date sensitive, this is not a disadvantage. Each pallet is supported so damage from crushing normally experienced in block stacking is eliminated.

Crane Loaded System Pallet Racking
Crane Systems utilising special materials handling cranes provides even higher space utilisation while maintaining the selectivity. Aisle widths of only 1.3 metres and scheme heights over 25 metres exploit the potential of crane systems.

Powered mobile pallet racking
Powered Mobile Pallet Racking comprises of conventional pallet racking mounted upon a steel framed base. This has driven wheels which run on tracks in the floor. The system enables a run of racking to be moved to create an access aisle. Up to 80% of the floor area can be occupied for storage, while retaining access to every pallet.

Push-back Pallet Racking
Push back racking is an innovative solution that enables full space utilisation when a run of racking backs onto a wall or has a barrier that prevents total access. It can be used in most aisle configurations.

Pallet Racking Accessories
Optional Safety and Rack Identification equipment is also available such as safe working load plates, aisle markers, stock location identification labels, crash barriers, anti collapse mesh, bump stops, post protectors, rack spacers, rack leg protectors. These are optional extras but may be advised.
